This is the best Canadian whisky I've had by far and if you see it, try it. As primarily a bourbon drinker, it really feels a lot like home. The taste really surprised me and is well beyond what I expected Crown Royal to produce.

The finish isn't terribly long but the fruity notes and banana lingers long enough with the slightly drying black tea note. I wish it had a more oily, coating feel with the flavors here. Rye-grain whisky, fresh-cut lumber, and new oak. This Cornerstone Blend begins the series. I almost get a little tobacco leaf/black tea note with this one. The banana bread feel really comes through followed with vanilla, fruit, rich sweetness, smooth warm wheat with very little spice but just enough to kind of round out the experience. Banana bread and sweet wheat character up front and lighter fruit notes with a hint of oak. On the nose I get some warm, buttery sweetness. It's a mashbill of 51% red winter wheat, 39% corn, and 10% malted barley and aged in charred new American oak barrels. This addition to their Noble Collection really shines and shows what they can bring to the table. But it is fantastic! I'm not a big fan of standard offerings or flavored offerings from crown royal unless mixed into soda. I've not seen much about this one on here.
